South West England

Circles South West logoCircles South West is an independent regional charity. Our vision is there being ‘No More Victims’ of sexual abuse. Since 2010 we have been providing Circles of Support and Accountability across South West England for people convicted of sexual offences.

More recently we have extended our offer to provide Prison/Through the Gate Circles. We have also adapted the model to provide Circles for adults with intellectual disabilities and for young people with harmful sexual behaviour.

Last year we coordinated 58 Circles of Support and Accountability across the region, involving more than 200 volunteers.

We need more adult Volunteers from all walks of life who are approachable, emotionally stable and have a mature outlook. The ability to maintain firm boundaries is essential. Volunteers are asked to commit around 2-4 hours per week for 12-18 months. We provide full training, ongoing professional support and reimburse expenses. Appointment is dependent on satisfactory references and criminal record checks.
