Leicestershire & Rutland

Leicester & Rutland CirclesThe first Circles of Support and Accountability ( COSA) in this area started in 2008 and continue to be totally funded by Leicestershire & Rutland Probation Trust (LRPT) providing a part-time COSA Coordinator post to manage this project.

A close working partnership between Police, Probation and other key MAPPA partners is seen as essential to successful risk management and public protection.

Core Members (the offender) are referred only through the MAPPA process and are supported by a group of trained Volunteers (providing the Circle) to live an offence free life in the community.

LRPT has an established history of utilising Volunteers, and our COSA volunteers are recruited for this specialist work from those already trained as volunteers for the Trust.

To apply to become a Volunteer for LRPT please send an email to Leicester & Rutland Circles or telephone Stuart Wain, Volunteer & COSA Co-ordinator on 0116 2620400.
