The Greater Manchester Circles Project became fully operational in March 2009. The Project is firmly rooted in a close partnership between Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Probation Trust and Greater Manchester Community Chaplaincy.
We involve Volunteers from all sections of our diverse community, including those of any faith and no faith. They are carefully screened and professionally trained for this demanding work. We believe that this innovative approach further enhances the work of the statutory agencies in protecting the public and reducing re-offending.
Volunteers support the offender (Core Member) to lead an offence-free and productive life, and help manage any further risk of sexual harm. We welcome enquiries from anyone interested in becoming a Volunteer for this challenging and rewarding work.
If you are interested please contact Chris Kania, Project Coordinator.
